Seizing the opportunity presented by the national strategy to revitalize the equipment manufacturing industry and promote agricultural modernization, SUNWINVISTA CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING CO., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as "SUNWINVISTA") successfully completed the steel structure construction of the Henan Agricultural Machinery Exhibition Hall, located in the Luoyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone. This project, invested in by a major state-owned assets operation company in Henan Province, serves as a core venue for the "China (Henan) International Agricultural Machinery Expo." With a total construction area of 25,000 square meters, the hall features a single-span large-space structure capable of accommodating heavy agricultural machinery displays. The main structure adopts a high-strength spatial truss system, strictly complying with the "Code for Design of Steel Structures" (GB 50017) and seismic fortification standards, integrating the concepts of "Industrial Heritage + Smart Exhibition."
Core Challenges and Innovative Practices
Facing the challenges of large-span structural stability, heavy load requirements for heavy machinery displays, and the need for flexible exhibition spaces, SUNWINVISTA implemented a series of innovative solutions:
- Large-Span Spatial Truss Design: Utilized advanced finite element analysis to optimize the spatial truss structure, achieving a column-free exhibition space of 90 meters in span. This design ensures unobstructed sightlines and flexible layout capabilities for various exhibition needs.
- Heavy-Duty Floor Load System: Developed a specialized steel-concrete composite floor system capable of withstanding live loads of up to 10 kN/m², sufficient to support the weight of large agricultural harvesters and tractors during exhibitions.
- Rapid Assembly and Construction: Adopted a "Factory Prefabrication + On-Site Assembly" model. Over 95% of the steel components were prefabricated off-site, and the main structure was erected in just 45 days, minimizing on-site construction time and ensuring the hall was ready for the inaugural expo.
Smart Building Integration: Integrated intelligent lighting, ventilation, and fire protection systems within the steel structure, laying the foundation for a smart exhibition experience.
Achievements and Industry Impact
The project was delivered 15 days ahead of schedule and passed the final inspection with high marks, earning the title of "Henan Provincial Steel Structure Quality Project." Upon completion, the exhibition hall successfully hosted the 15th China (Henan) International Agricultural Machinery Expo, attracting over 500 exhibitors and 30,000 professional visitors. It has become a new landmark for the agricultural machinery industry in Central China, significantly boosting the development of the local equipment manufacturing cluster.
This project not only demonstrates SUNWINVISTA's expertise in large-span industrial and exhibition steel structures but also establishes a new benchmark for high-quality construction in the agricultural machinery exhibition sector.
